Passion
They embraced passionately,
lips locked together,
and the world spun about them for
what seemed eons.
Unfortunately,
she had a congested nose
so that when he released her
she sagged to the floor dead.
"I must be going." he cooed,
and abruptly danced his way to the door.
Donning his hat and coat
(the one with the upturned collar),
he turned and cheerfully inquired,
"Same time tomorrow my love?"
As usual,
she had that same
expressionless
look upon her face,
so he poured her goldfish out upon the floor,
licked the dog,
and made his exit.
Outside
the rain was shinning.
